About the event
Shavuot, also known as the Feast of Weeks, is the holiday celebrated 50 days after Passover. It marks the day the Torah was revealed at Mount Sinai. The name "Shavuot" means "weeks" in Hebrew, indicating the seven weeks between Passover and this festival. We commemorate the connection between God and us through the commandments of the Torah. Traditionally, we eat dairy products and decorate rooms with green plants and flowers to symbolize fertility and the beginning of the grain harvest. It is a time of gratitude, prayer and community.
