Rabbi Akiva Weingarten

Akiva was born near New York City in 1984, later moved to Bnei Brak, Israel, and has lived in Germany since 2014. He lovingly cares for his children and is the spiritual father of our community. Having left the ultra-Orthodox faith himself, he soon began to care for other expatriates, facilitating the process and helping them reorient themselves. From this, the Besht Yeshiva Dresden and later our community grew.
