coexist report

Coexist has long been a meeting format in Dresden where people of different religions can connect. Events are alternately hosted by Christian, Muslim, and Jewish congregations. A theme is chosen for each meeting, around which a shared exchange can take place. This way, one not only gets to know congregations and other places of worship, but above all also the people interested in dialogue (or, more accurately, trialogue). This doesn't mean that the focus is only on similarities between religions. Quite the opposite: the differences in customs, interpretation, and understanding of history are also fascinating. This dialogue has been pursued very fruitfully for millennia, and it requires small, quiet organizers who patiently and quietly create the opportunities for it. We are grateful to be a part of coexist and look forward to further meetings.
